TC-99

TC-99 was a TC-series protocol droid who served as personal assistant to Colonel Halland Goth, commander of the Imperial Royal Guard. After receiving TC-99 from the Galactic Empire after requesting a personal protocol droid, Goth exercised his childhood interest in droid tinkering to secretly modify the droid far beyond protocol droid programming. In order to hide his degenerative condition from the Empire, Goth manumitted TC-99 and, with the help of the Amaran trader Tykyl, made further modifications so the droid could serve as a home health aide. One such modification Goth implemented, over the course of months, was a data cartridge slot hidden in TC-99's breast plate. Through the slot, TC-99 could sideload droid matrices in order to extract their prior owners' knowledge and experience without any personalities overriding his own. This was primarily used to imbue TC-99 with vast medical knowledge for serving Goth's rare condition.

TC-99 was fascinated with Oolon's Star Almanac and the tall tales spun within of various planets and cultures. He was fluent in over 2.7 million forms of communication.
