Tykyl

Tykyl was an Amaran trader, black marketeer and droid hobbyist active during the early Imperial Era. She had a childhood obsession with droid programming, and, during the Clone Wars, the trader made the acquaintance of Galactic Republic Red Guard member Halland Goth on Ithull 6. Soon after the rise of the Galactic Empire, in 19 BBY, Tykyl helped Goth manumit his newly-acquired protocol droid TC-99.

Tykyl operated a workshop on Level 1978 of Coruscant. There she kept numerous droid parts, starship components, antique computers, and vintage circuitry from the Old Republic era. Her more illicit stock included droid personality matrices, many of which were purchased by Goth to provide upgrades to TC-99.

When TC-99 came to her with a corrupted recording from the droid matrix of an FX-series medical assistant droid, Tykyl managed to recover the files, only to find out the recording showed the brutal surgery of a severely burned human overseen by Emperor Palpatine himself. Concerned by the dangerous nature of such obviously secret intelligence, Tykyl extricated herself from the situation, quickly sending TC-99 on his way.
