A B1 battle droid was stationed on the bridge of the Separatist Subjugator-class heavy cruiser the Malevolence, as a gunner under the command of General Grievous. In 22 BBY, this droid participated in the Battle of the Ryndellia system, where it was destroyed by Grievous out of displeasure for its performance, and was replaced with another droid. This replacement unit had been kept in reserve on the bridge for just such a situation.
