Unidentified Imperial officer (Imperial race)

Canon Linked from 1 article

A human officer in the Galactic Empire was stationed on the Outer Rim planet Akiva in 3 ABY. At one point they inspected Beam Beam, a fathier that the Empire spent a lot of money on as part of a plan to boost moral by winning a fixed fathier race during the Canto Cup tournament. The officer considered Beam Beam to be a fine specimen and was familar with Vinis Karyvin, the Imperial lieutenant and jockey who was going to ride the fathier during the race. At one point they heard a rumor that Karyvin sent a sergeant to the brig for spilling his caf. While on Akiva, they wore an Imperial officer's uniform.

Before the race, the officer was talked with a fellow officer about the upcoming race near the holographic fathier-betting module at the Alcazar cantina in the Akivan city Myrra. During their conversation, the officer shared their opinion of Beam Beam. Unbeknownst to both of the officers, the thief Kay Vess was listening to their conversation and had Nix, her merqaal companion, steal a datacard from the other Imperial officer that contained information on Karyvin. Vess then used that information to bet on the outcome of the sponsored race.
