A Whiphid individual was a councilor within a governmental body of the New Republic that included chief of state Leia Organa Solo in 13 ABY. The Whiphip insisted on the arrest of Organa Solo's security chief Mirith Sinn after a chain of events in which she was implicated. However, Organa Solo objected and ordered not to do so letting Sinn free.
