Vance Caelli was a smuggler and arms dealer who was a member of the Black Bha'lir organization. Together with fellow Black Bha'lir member Rondale Merced, Caelli formed the Caelli-Merced Syndicate corporation, which was based on the planet Socorro and manufactured illegal weapons as well as ground vehicles and starship upgrade components. Caelli and Merced both disappeared under mysterious circumstances at some point following the destruction of the planet Alderaan, leaving their nephew Pret Swain as the sole leader of the Caelli-Merced Syndicate.
