Vermilion

Vermilion was a fathier that participated in fathier racing at the Canto Casino and Racetrack on the casino planet Cantonica. In 34 ABY, a series of chaotic events during one of Vermilion's races caused her to come in fourth against the fellow fathier Time for Flatcakes, who died right after he finished the race. It was soon discovered that Time for Flatcakes had been getting injections of an illegal performance enhancer. The fathier was disqualified and Vermilion's placement was revised to third.

That same year, Vermilion was the matriarch for a herd of fathiers that raced on Cantonica. She and her herd were freed from the stables by the Resistance mechanic Rose Tico and former First Order stormtrooper Finn. With Tico and Finn riding on her back, Vermilion and the herd raced through the streets of Canto Bight, the main city of Cantonica. The herd caused damage to buildings and luxury speeders during their stampede through the city. After the humans and the fathier were able to escape the pursuing Canto Bight Police airspeeders, Tico removed Vermilion's saddle which allowed the matriarch to join her herd in freedom.
