Winda was the youngest Ewok child of the Ewok Deej and his wife who was born no earlier than 7 BBY. They were the younger sister of three brothers: Weechee, Widdle Warrick, and Wicket Warrick. One winter on the Forest Moon of Endor between 1 BBY and 4 ABY, food was scarce for the Bright Tree tribe, and Wicket had to give half of his dinner portion of ground-apple stock to Winda. During that winter, when Wicket insisted to his older brother Weechee that he could show him a real hunter, Weechee jokingly asked if he was speaking of Winda.
Shortly after the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, several members of the Bright Tree tribe, including Winda, held a gathering with the tribe's neighbors in Bright Tree Village to decide the forest's future. During the gathering, Winda danced with their brother Wicket. Winda had light gray fur and donned two blue leaves on their head.
