Wirut, a Human male native of the planet Coruscant, was an officer who held the rank of Sergeant in the Galactic Alliance Guard in 40 ABY. He also served as a soldier of the 967 Commando, a company of elite GAG troopers led by Colonel Jacen Solo. During the Second Galactic Civil War, he arrested Chief of State Cal Omas—leader of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances—at the behest of Solo. Although Wirut harbored reservations about arresting the Galactic Alliance head of state, he nonetheless complied with his commander's orders.
