YIN-762 was a B1 battle droid who served as a commander in the Droid Army of the Trade Federation. In 32 BBY, YIN-762 was in command of a base outside the city Spinnaker on Naboo during the Trade Federation's invasion of the planet.
During the invasion of Spinnaker, the command battle droid OOM-9 sent Neimoidian traders, a type of repulsorcraft, from his base to the spaceport in YIN-762's base to trade for nova crystals, which could be used as currency. By trading with the base and destroying Spinnaker's spaceports, OOM-9 was able to achieve Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray's objective of securing 10,000 nova crystals.
Like all B1-Series battle droids, YIN-762 was 1.91 meters tall and had masculine programming. It wielded an E-5 blaster rifle and had a backpack equipped with an antenna. The droid had light tan plating with brown markings.
