Yoss

Yoss was a Gungan general who served in the Gungan Grand Army on the planet Naboo. In 32 BBY, the Gungan Grand Army planned to retaliate against the Trade Federation, which had invaded the planet, after forming an alliance with the human Naboo population. Yoss and the Gungan Grand Army waited on the edge of the Gungan swamps while the Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi raced to activate a planetary deflector shield to protect the army from aerial bombardment. Yoss suggested to General Tobler Ceel that the Gungans move onto the Great Grass Plains to protect the swamps from being destroyed. However, Ceel insisted that they wait for the shield to be activated.
