Zyssyk was a Melitto myrmitrix who was a member of the Ashiga hive during the Imperial Era. They were hatched in the Kamorro Crevasse. In 3 ABY, Zyssyk was on the planet Tatooine and found it intolerable because of the scent and heat of the planet.
While on Tatooine, Zyssyk hired outlaw Kay Vess to rob weapons from the Hutt Cartel. Kay agreed and delivered a shipment of guns to the hive.
