Myrmitrix

Myrmitrices (singular myrmitrix) were adolescent females of the Melitto species. Whenever a Melitto hive grew too large to operate efficiently, several myrmitrices struck out their own with warrior followers and battled until the winner became a new queen, gaining the right to establish her own hive. The warrior followers of a defeated myrmitrix all became ronin, a category of hiveless outcasts. Zyssyk was a myrmitrix on the planet Tatooine in 3 ABY.
