Attempt to assassinate Maul

Around 19 BBY, Imperator Marg Krim of the Pyke Syndicate attempted to assassinate Lord Maul, the dark side adept who controlled the Shadow Collective criminal alliance. Having grown upset with Maul's leadership over his operations, Krim took the opportunity to act when Maul ventured to his palace on Oba Diah in the aftermath of the Siege of Mandalore, which had seen the collapse of the collective. Maul, however, managed to escape and was left enraged at Krim's betrayal. As he worked to rebuild the collective between 17 BBY and around 13 BBY, Maul returned to Oba Diah to enact his revenge upon Krim, whom he personally executed before installing Captain of the Guard Kalt as his new Pyke puppet leader.
