Battle of Xorrn (Clone Wars)

Throughout the duration of the Clone Wars, between 22 BBY and 19 BBY, numerous battles were fought on the planet Xorrn in the Outer Rim Territories. Not long after the conflict's opening battle, the Galactic Republic discovered illegally established battle droid factories underneath the planet's surface, constructed years prior by the Geonosian species. Due to their discovery, Xorrn was transformed into a war zone for the duration of the conflict.
However, as the war reached its final year, the Republic had suffered countless casualties in their attacks on Xorrn and the factories. Ultimately deciding that the planet was no longer worth further losses, the Republic enacted an orbital bombardment of the world. As a result, numerous factories were destroyed alongside several warships of the Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems.
