Bombing of the Kuat shipyards

In 0 ABY, during the Galactic Civil War between the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire, the Alliance bombed the shipyards at the Core world Kuat. The shipyard's bombing, which was carried out after the Rebel Alliance had destroyed the Empire's Death Star superweapon, was one of over a dozen attacks undertaken to exploit a damaged Empire.

The Kuat shipyards bombing was recalled by Admiral Gial Ackbar as an example of the Rebel Alliance's actions after the Death Star's destruction during a meeting of Alliance leaders later that year after Princess Leia Organa noted her belief the Rebel Alliance was not doing enough in their fight against the Empire. After his mention of the attacks, Ackbar stated he did not know what more the Alliance could be doing.
