Around 21 BBY, a conference on Aviles Prime took place on the Expansion Region astronomical object Aviles Prime. Director General Lorca Oviedo of Oviedo Engineering, a military weaponry manufacturer, attended the conference. After the event, he was to travel to the Galactic Republic's Core Worlds capital planet Coruscant; however, while his Consular-class cruiser and his clone commando escorts traveled to Coruscant, they exited hyperspace and were subsequently shot down by Separatist forces, crashing on the Expansion Region moon of Asturias.
