Debacle on Vrant Tarnum

The debacle on Vrant Tarnum was an incident between the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic against the Nihil pirates. It was sparked in the aftermath of the Battle of Grizal when Jedi Master Emerick Caphtor undertook a mission to Vrant Tarnum while investigating the mysterious death of Master Loden Greatstorm. At the request of Jedi High Council member Stellan Gios, Caphtor traveled to the base on Vrant Tarnum with a unit of Galactic Republic troopers. Most of the pirates stationed at the base fled upon the Republic group's approach, with Caphtor and his soldiers fighting those Nihil who had not managed to escape, taking as many as they could alive as prisoners. Upon inspecting the ruins with his droid, Q-2, Caphtor discovered a cave of some significance, with the lyrics of an old nursery rhyme he had found to be in some way connected to his investigation carved around it.
