Destruction of Til

The destruction of Til was a cataclysm that occurred nearly a century before the Battle of Yavin. The star Til, situated in the Unknown Regions' Til system, exploded with little warning, destroying Tililix, a technologically advanced world that orbited it and was the homeworld of the sentient Tarro species.

Only those Tarro who were off-world at the time, numbering merely 350 individuals, survived the destruction of Tililix, and they did not adopt a new homeworld due to fear that such an undertaking would involve an undesirable bureaucratic process. Those Tarro who lived in other star systems speculated that the destruction of Til was possibly caused by a secret Tarro-constructed superweapon.
