Mission to the Khepi system

In 3 ABY, Kay Vess' crew undertook a mission to the Khepi system, in search of a reported treasure claimed to be hidden within the system. At some point during the time period, the pirate Hondo Ohnaka would send out a holographic invitation to the starship of his acquaintance, Jet Kordo, before the pirate was eventually captured by the Rokana Raiders. The message instead reached the thief Kay Vess and her crew, who were interested in the fortune described in Ohnaka's message. The hologram also informed Vess' crew to steal a Starmap from Captain Qorvino, a notorious pirate operating on the Hydian Way.

This clue would lead Vess and her crew to search on the jungle planet of Akiva, where they fought Qorvino's pirates to successfully retrieve the map. Following the coordinates, Vess' crew arrived in an engulfment within the ionic gas of the Sayma Nebula, when they were raided by the Rokana Raiders after being disabled by their ion torpedoes. The Raiders would board the ship, taking Vess prisoner after a vote for checking any potential bounty, and bring her ship and the disabled droid crewmember, ND-5, back to their base in the Khepi Tomb.

At the prison of the base, Vess would meet the captured Ohnaka, and be rescued by her merqaal partner-in-crime Nix. Later freeing Ohnaka, the two would settle on an agreement to work together in progressing the Rokana Raider's effort of trying to unlock the treasure inside the tomb, and to instead split the treasure for themselves. Afterwards, Vess would attempt to retake her gear and find an ion shield by infiltrating across the base, while Ohnaka scouted the location in search of information. With the two having their goals fulfilled, they would then head to the hangar to free and retake the Trailblazer trapped by gravity locks. After retaking the ship, Kay Vess' crew would be able escape from the tomb and later the nebula, and jump across hyperspace to discuss their plans at Achra Station.
