Mitth welcoming ceremonies

Canon Linked from 4 articles

Mitth welcoming ceremonies were ceremonies held by the Mitth family in the Chiss Ascendancy. It was a common and brief event held to welcome new Mitth adoptees into the family and included a rematching dinner. The event was formal, similar in formality to the Stybla honoring ceremonies; the clothing was formal, as well as the people. Many people attending were politicians and therefore spoke in reserved tones.

Kivu'raw'nuru, core name "Vurawn," underwent the ceremony sometime around 39 BBY. Detaching him from the Kivu family and rematching him with the Mitth would change his name to Mitth'raw'nuruodo ("Thrawn"). During the ceremony, Thrawn first met Mitth'ras'safis ("Thrass"), whom he would later regard as a brother.
