Outer Rim blockades
Legends Canon version → Linked from 2 articles
Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.
During the Clone Wars, General Grievous led Separatist forces on the planets Anoth, Bakura, and Ord Mantell, capturing the crucial hyperspace lanes leading to Bespin, Kessel, and Mon Calamari, all within a month. The capture of the lanes jeopardized the supplies of tibanna gas and Kessel spice, leading in civilian misery once the supply shortage was felt, and also prevented the Mon Calamari from performing an "ages-old ritual."
