Rescue of Ruug Quarnom

In 22 BBY, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker undertook an unauthorized rescue of former Neimoidian Royal Guard Ruug Quarnom from Cato Neimoidia. Kenobi had met Quarnom during a recent mission he had undertaken, during which the two had discovered that a bombing which had devastated Cato Neimoidia's capital city of Zarra had been carried out using weaponry from both the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems, the two sides in the ongoing Clone Wars, in which Cato Neimoidia was officially neutral. Quarnom had committed treason against the Cato Neimoidian government in order to assist Kenobi and Skywalker in fleeing the planet with the information, and had subsequently been arrested.

However, the prisoner transport carrying her was disabled and left to crash below the city of Kyr Uneris, although Quarnom survived. Kenobi and Skywalker learned of the incident and secretly departed Coruscant. When it was discovered that Quarnom was not among the casualties, battle droids were sent after her in the wilderness, but the two Jedi arrived and destroyed them, saving Quarnom's life.
