Resistance on Cyrillia

The Resistance on Cyrillia was an engagement that took place around 12,700 BBY at the Expansion Region planet Cyrillia. It was a late confrontation of the Fifth Alsakan Conflict, a war that had commenced more than three centuries earlier and was one of a fourteen-millennia-long series of wars over political control of the Galactic Republic between its capital world Coruscant, the planet Alsakan, and their respective allies.

Cyrillia was situated in the region actively controlled by the Grand Companies—trading conglomerates based along the hyperlane known as the Spin and backed by Coruscant—and lay along a hyperspace route mostly controlled by the Republic's capital. Following the Resistance on Cyrillia, the Fifth Alsakan Conflict itself also ended around 12,700 BBY.
