The Alaris Expanse was an area of space in the outer part of the Kashyyyk system, located within the Slice portion of the Mid Rim. It contained the gas giant Alaris and its eight moons, including Alaris Prime. Between 39 BBY and 36 BBY, colonists of the Wookiee species traveled through the Alaris Expanse aboard the transport vessel Thalmussen to reach Alaris Prime and colonize it.
