The Chorax system was located in the Colonies' Rachuk sector, between Commenor and Talasea. Its sole planet was Chorax, and the yellow sun was not massive, meaning that starships could skim it close through hyperspace. It was known as a hotbed of piracy and smuggling and was thus avoided by merchant ships.
In 6 ABY, during the Core Campaign, the Imperial Interdictor-class heavy cruiser Black Asp ambushed the yacht Pulsar Skate in the system. During the Bacta War, Rogue Squadron raided the Thyferran Convoy Delta-Two-Niner in the Chorax system.
