The Crispin system was located in Wild Space of the galaxy, and contained the Crispin asteroid field. Some time before the start of the Mandalorian Wars, a group of Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders led by Canderous Ordo discovered an object resembling a Yuuzhan Vong Yorik-stronha that had been hidden inside an ice asteroid there.
The asteroid belt also served as a hiding place for several bands of anonymous pirates and smugglers; according to Canderous, the Mandalorians were there to "play" with them, possibly as a training exercise or for sport.
