Hofsgut system

The Hofsgut system was a star system located in the Hewett sector of the Mid Rim Territories and the New Territories. It was situated in grid square M-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid and contained the world Hofsgut.

During the Imperial Era, Hofsgut was ruled by a president. By 4 ABY, the human Princess Leia Organa had visited the world, and during her time there, she established a connection with the president. That year, Rebel Intelligence Major Nioma provided Organa with data on Hofsgut from which she learned that the world had either remained independent or at minimum had been forced into a financial agreement with the Galactic Empire. Because of her connection to the president, Organa sent a holomessage to them, hoping to persuade them to side with the forming New Republic. In 9 ABY, the Hofsgut system was part of the New Republic's territories.
