The Kamgeddon system was located in the Harron sector, a part of the Slice portion of the Expansion Region. It was situated on the hyperlane known as the Ootmian Pabol, which connected it to the Belasco system—a part of the eponymous Belasco sector—and the Inner Rim's Prindaar system.
During the Pius Dea Era, a period of time that lasted between approximately 12,000 BBY and 11,000 BBY, the Kamgeddon system was a part of the Galactic Republic and shared its name with the Glory of Kamgeddon, a cathedral ship of the Republic's Pius Dea cult.
