Lechra system

The Lechra system was a star system located in the Inner Rim Territories' Lixal sector. It was situated in grid square M-14 of the Standard Galactic Grid and contained the world Lechra.

During the Imperial Era, Lechra was ruled by a viceroy and was the site of a tibanna gas refinery that was privately owned. By 4 ABY, the human Princess Leia Organa had visited Lechra and formed a connection with the viceroy. That year, Organa was provided data from Rebel Intelligence major Nioma that led her to believe Lechra had either remained independent or at minimum had been forced into a financial agreement with the Galactic Empire. Afterward, she sent a holomessage to the viceroy in hopes of persuading them to side with the forming New Republic, which she was reasonably confident of achieving.
