The Polith system was a 7-planet system in the Inner Rim Territories. It contained the planet Thyferra. Before contact with the Galactic Republic, the Vratix, native to Thyferra, had already colonized other celestial bodies in the Polith system. During the Cold War the system was the site of a battle between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. During the Galactic Civil War, the system was governed by Moff Kyl Ransen.
