The Tyyyn Nebula was a vast cloud in the Kashyyyk system. The gas and dust were unusually thick and dense throughout, making the nebula a natural choice for pirates, such as the Ghrag Mercenaries, preying on unsuspecting freighters. All throughout the Galactic Civil War, the Tyyyn Nebula remained a hotbed of piracy.
In 1 ABY, the Ghrag Mercenaries attacked the civilian medium transports Tereant III and Vue'zae in the Tyyyn Nebula. The vessels were finally rescued by the pilots of the Civilian Protection Guild.
