The Mytaranor sector, also known as the Kashyyyk sector, was a sector located in the Mid Rim. This sector bordered several other Mid Rim sectors. Planets in the Mytaranor sector included Mytaranor itself, Trandosha, Alaris, Kashyyyk and the sector capital, Randon. The sector had many Wookiee colonies, such as Kwookrrr and Rakhuuun.
This sector, especially the Kashyyyk system, was the site of numerous conflicts, and its two major native species, the Wookiees and Trandoshans, were skilled warriors. The Wookiees were sometimes treated as mere animals, and several times slaver organizations such as Czerka Corporation or the Mytaranor Slaving Council set up operations in the sector to exploit them as slave labor. The Trandoshans, on the other hand, often worked with the slavers, or were employed as bounty hunters around the galaxy.
