381 BBY, or 381 Before the Battle of Yavin, was a year in the 'ABY-BBY' dating system that was a part of the High Republic Era. During the year, tensions between the Galactic Republic and the Togruta species spawned in the aftermath of the Republic-Togruta conflict existed. Around that same year, Marda Ro—the Evereni founder of a group of pirates who would eventually become the Nihil—began her search for others of her species by visiting the planet Dantooine, where she ended up recruiting the Twi'lek Fori Nagor into her group of marauders.
