Amethyst crystal

The amethyst crystal was one of the several types of Force-imbued tasar crystals that could be found on the Inner Rim planet Tasariq. It was deep purple in color and shared its name with the type of gemstone known as amethyst.

If an individual carried an amethyst crystal on their person for a number of months, they gradually became attuned to it and as a result became able to use—even if they were not Force-sensitive—the ion generation Force ability. The ability allowed its user to more easily calm down upset beings and promote in them a feeling of good will, and even the most fervent skeptics of the Force-imbued tasar crystals had to begrudgingly admit that some of those crystals indeed exhibited a noticeable soothing effect.
