Barium reed

Barium reeds were a type of reed that partially shared their name with barium, a poisonous substance that was present in starship fuels. In 231 BBY, the Nihil member Udi Dis accompanied Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro to the cold, lifeless planet of Rystan to meet the latter's cousin, a woman named Kufa. Dis was skeptical of the woman's frail appearance, thinking to himself that Ro could snap her like a barium reed.
