Byblos Square

Canon Linked from 3 articles

Byblos Squares were a convenient food item available on the Colonies planet Byblos, located along the Corellian Run hyperlane. The squares consisted of a purple vegetable wrap filled with blue Kerkoidia Grains, green Pickled Paddy Flowers, red meat, and yellow eggs. They were assembled by placing the four individual fillings on separate quarters of the wrap, which itself would be slit halfway down the middle from one side. The wrap would then be folded over itself three times, covering all the fillings.

Upon completing a tour of the galaxy and its many food cultures between 34 ABY and 35 ABY,, Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs included a recipe for Byblos Squares in The Ultimate Cookbook, his third cookbook, published in 35 ABY. Tuggs believed the popularity of the squares on Byblos was likely due to their convenient nature, making them perfect smugglers on the run who needed a quick meal.
