Commodore

Commodore was a senior rank in naval forces found in various militaries. Commodore was used in the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire during the early rebellion against the Galactic Empire with Almudin and Thrawn having the rank before Thrawn's promotion to Admiral. At the time of his suicide in the Castell system, Idel was also a commodore and commanded his own Imperial-class Star Destroyer. Karyn Faro of the Seventh Fleet was a commodore, and was assigned Task Force 231. During the Galactic Civil War, Krovis also served as a commodore.

In the Galactic Empire, an individual with the rank of commodore was issued a rank insignia plaque with either three blue tiles on the left and three red tiles on the right that was accompanied with four code cylinders, a plaque with four red tiles on top of four blue tiles and three code cylinders, or five red tiles on top of five blue tiles with two code cylinders.

During the civil war, the New Republic Defense Fleet used the rank of commodore, with Kyrsta Agate having the rank and commanding the Starhawk-class battleship Concord. Meta also served as a commodore within the navy of the Resistance.
