Counselor was an advisory rank used by the Hetzalian government. Daan was one individual who served in the role. The term "counselor" did not exist as a title within the Galactic Empire's government. Following the death of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine and the loss of his puppet Grand Admiral Rae Sloane, Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax established the position Counselor to the Empire, claiming himself to be unworthy of the Emperor title and too modest for something like Grand Admiral. In truth, Rax used the title to rule over the Empire. General Hodnar Borrum objected to the title's creation, but Rax managed to secure its creation all the same.
