Grand-engineer was a title held by individuals who had a very special understanding of technology. The female Lony Coleema of the Order of the Sight Voltaic became a grand-engineer by 4 ABY. Between 2 BBY and 4 ABY, Jabba the Hutt's majordomo, Bib Fortuna, announced that a bounty had been placed on Coleema's head, and the IG-88 assassin droid IG-88B replied by saying that grand-engineers had not been seen in the galaxy for decades.
