A Jedi counselor was a Jedi who helped other Jedi remain balanced after they experienced trauamtic events. After the Valo Atrocity in 231 BBY, the Mirialan Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh visited a Jedi counselor, Jedi Master Josiah, who informed her that remembering was part of how one dealt with the pain and trauma of a disaster.
