Jung-ju was a type of tree that possessed strong and fibrous wood. In the decades leading up to the Great Sith War of 3996 BBY, it was used in the design of reinforced fiber armor, which implemented jung-ju tree fibers bound with synthetic materials. The resultant body armor offered durability and flexibility that could compete with light armor produced out of metallic compounds.
