Malsarr

Malsarr was a mineral that could be used in the manufacture of many electronics components, including ones related to droids and communications technology. It was one of the valuable trace minerals present on the Sinta Glacier, the former center of a mega-comet that eventually adopted a permanent orbit around the Mid Rim star Sinta.

By 35 ABY, the Sinta Glacier Colony extracted ice cores with trace amounts of malsarr in them from the heart of the massive ice chunk. During the First Order-Resistance War, the mine overseer Boolio covertly diverted surplus minerals from the colony to transports affiliated with the Resistance, which eventually led the First Order to dispatch inspectors to the settlement in order to investigate discrepancies in its accounts.
