During the Clone Wars, a bill that would reduce military spending was proposed by a group of senators, spearheaded by Senators Onaconda Farr and Padmé Amidala.
Amid the ongoing debate regarding the bill, Senator Farr was killed after being poisoned by his aide, Lolo Purs. The bill was ultimately defeated.
