Senior Aide

A Senior Aide was a high-ranking administrative position within the various families of the Chiss Ascendancy. Each of the Patriarchs of the Ruling Families had a senior aide, whose responsibilities included passing on the truth of the Final Assault on Csilla to each successive Patriarch. Several of the Patriarchs of Great Families had senior aides, though none of them, with the exception of the Stybla family, knew of the Final Assault on Csilla. They often functioned as the primary aide to the family Patriarch. Family Councilors were also known to have senior aides, as in the case of the Xodlak.

Senior aides' duties varied, and included scheduling appointments, delivering information, meeting with officials on behalf of their charge, drawing up petitions, and assisting with moving.

Senior aides included Xodlak'ji'iprip, Mitth'iv'iklo, and Stybla'ppin'cykok.
