Senior Cadet was a military rank. It held by older cadets in the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet's Taharim Academy on the Unknown Regions Chiss Ascendancy nation planet of Naporar, as well as by cadets at the Carida Military academy. Senior cadets' duties included instructing and guiding younger cadets at the academy. Around 255 BBY the human Wilson and Selkath Lalutin held the rank of senior cadet at the Carida military academy. The two cadets used their seniority to abuse the first-year cadet Lourna Dee. Between approximately 39 BBY and 37 BBY, Irizi'ar'alani, core name "Ziara," was a senior cadet, a rank she achieved no more than four years into her tenure at Taharim Academy.
