Swamp scum sauce

Swamp scum sauce was a type of sauce similar to a pesto. It was used to coat the pasta in Shag Pabol Pasta, a vegetarian dish served with fresh brown mushrooms to provided meatiness. The Toydarian species made the dish using fungus from the forests of Toydaria, their homeworld in Hutt Space along the Shag Pabol hyperspace route.

Between 34 ABY and 35 ABY, the Artiodac Strono Tuggs took a culinary tour of the galaxy that included a portion in Hutt Space booked by the Hutts. He then included a recipe for the pasta and sauce in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published in 35 ABY. The chef called Shag Pabol Pasta one of his favorite Toydarian foods, claiming that it had been a crowd pleaser along the length of the Shag Pabol for years.
