Tafgum was a substance with stretchy qualities, allowing it to be pulled in different directions. In 229 BBY, Nihil marauders attacked the Lonisa City Zoo hideout of three Valon Jedi younglings—Gavi, Tep Tep, and Kildo. When the Force-eating Nameless creature Grendrek moved to feed on Kildo, Gavi experienced hallucinations and thought the beast's face resembled that of Jedi Master Kunpar Vasivola, except distorted and stretched like tafgum.
