Members of the Vak species, native to the Unknown Regions planet Primea, used a language associated with the Vak script. In 19 BBY, the Chiss Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," and Caregiver Mitth'ali'astov entered an art gallery on Primea while a group of Vaks, including the gallery's curator, spoke their language. Thrawn asked the curator if she spoke the Minnisiat trade language, and the pair engaged in a conversation about the Vak culture in the tongue.
