Vashan was a language used by the Vashans, a sentient species native to the planet Vasha of the Outer Rim Territories. It had a spoken form and a written form, and, in general, the Vashans knew both. One specific member of the species who knew both spoken and written Vashan was the swordsman Poina Tuc-shol. Saqc'or, a Svivreni miner and metallurgist on the planet Thonner, and Groex Gal, an Ebranite scout, mountaineer, and tour guide on the moon Qina, both could also speak—but not write—Vashan.
